Pride Month Newsletter
Happy Pride Month! This is my month because I’m an lgbt writer. I finally finished editing Thy Name is Calamity & think I got someone to read it to let me know whether it’s good or not. And now just reformatting so its easier to read in pdf for anyone else who doesn’t have inkitt.
With that done, finally time to really work on Thorned Mirror, sort out characters, the plot, what my self-insert should be(sorceress or solitary fae). If anyone has opinions, let me know.
As well, there are two bookish events this month, one of which is actually in my hometown so I can go in person. That would be the WBRA book fair, which I love because there are free books. I got so many last year that they didn’t fit in the bag I brought; I’ll be better prepared this year haha. Then there’s the Canadian Lit Festival, which I just heard about and is virtual but I’m going to try to attend. I’m probably too late to try to be a vendor, though, so maybe I’ll try next year.
I AM a vendor at the Phictly Book Fest next month, which I can’t wait for. I just hope they don’t schedule my panel early in the morning because then my health is going to be screwed up. Crossing my fingers that doesn’t happen.
Also crossing my fingers that I can get at least close to 50k words of Thorned Mirror typed by November as previously stated because I really wanna enter that Reedsy contest. I keep trying but I never make it because i just don’t have time to type. I’m gonna do it this year, though, I swear!
And to my fellow LGBT authors, would any of you be open to doing an affiliate thing with me? Like I can promote your books through here and my others socials, and if it leads to sales, you pay me a portion of your royalties-doesn’t have to be a big portion, just something. That might be easier and more profitable than me trying to get your books for my bookstore right now. If you’re not, no worries, but if you are, shoot me a message.
Have a great pride month, everyone! Thanks for reading.
Tara
