A melancholy march
aka this year just keeps getting progressively worse and worse
Happy April Fool’s
Unfortunately, it is not a joke when I say that last month absolutely terrible. I didn’t get any sales through my store OR of my books that I wrote even though I thought I might and, although I did get a decent amount of Thy Name is Calamity edited, I didn’t finish, which was my goal for the month. It was my own fault because I wanted to read more than I wanted to edit, but still.
The only really good thing was that book fair on the 14th where I got to meet all those other local authors and possibly got a lead on future events I might be able to be a vendor at within my schedule. Also I guess the fact that I got a new subscriber. And that last Saturday where I found this book that I’ve been wanting to read and find out if I want to put it in my store because I met the author at the book launch here in Victoria(she’s from Sidney, I believe)so it qualifies for my niche. Also funnily, the MC’s name is the name of a guy I worked with at Roger’s Chocolates.
The book:
I’d like to do a book launch myself sometime. Maybe if I ever do get published again-I’m not really planning on it unless I win a contest or something, but you never know-then I can reach out to a local bookstore or if mine gets a physical location I can have it there.
My only goal this month because it’s the only one with no real pressure and that I can feasibly see myself completing is to finish or at least get more of my Arrow fanfiction typed. Would, of course, be nice to get at least one sale, but I’m not holding my breath.
Okay that’s probably enough being depressing now. Thanks for listening(reading)to my depressed rambling. Hopefully I won’t be doing more next month. Until then.
Tara
